I started my own fitness journey in 2013. I struggled with my weight through high school and into adulthood. As my family grew, so did my waistline. Nearing 300 pounds I knew I had to change something. I tried a number of weight loss fads, and would manage to drop weight, but once the program ended, the weight came back on...plus 5 more. I was searching for a workout that I could be excited about day in and day out. I found that in kickboxing. After being a student for 9 months, I was asked to be an instructor. I fell in love with being able to share my struggle with others in order to give them belief in themselves. I am so excited to help anyone become stronger every day.
I'm 26 years old and took my first kickboxing class in January 2015 and quickly fell in love. Over the past 2 years kickboxing has not only helped me lose weight, but gain confidence and find a career I am passionate about. I have a Bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness and am excited to work not only as a class instructor, but as the Health and Wellness Coordinator at TKO Fitness. I have a true passion for helping others succeed and I love watching others accomplish things they never thought they could. The journey to a healthy lifestyle is challenging, but it's important for everyone to know they don't have to walk that journey alone.
I have studied the martial arts since I was a small child. I hold a Brown Belt in Karate and a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. I am also an Amateur MMA fighter. I am passionate about helping others to gain self confidence and the feeling of self empowerment through fitness, and martial arts. I enjoy watching others achieve a goal they previously thought impossible by being consistent in their commitment to themselves and their goals. I am excited to be a part of this team and look forward to being a part of our members journey to a healthier, happier, and more confident life!
